One
of the main attractions at Olu Deniz is the famous Blue Lagoon. Follow
the road to the right when you reach the Beach, and within a couple
of minutes walk to the western end you will reach the entrance to the
lagoon. There is a small admission very reasonable charge to enter and
all proceeds are used by the local administration to help preserve this
beautiful place.

Morning at the Lagoon

This is
a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty, no building or development
of any kind is allowed. The lagoon has a small sandy beach at its shore
line and the warm shallow calm water is wonderful for swimmers. With
the backdrop of pine trees and mountains this is a truly wonderful place
to do nothing but relax and soak up the sun. Water sports facilities
are also located at the far end, a great place to hire a boat.

The calm crystal clear waters with hues of turquoise and deep blue are
typical of this party of Turkey's coast and hence this is often referred
to as the Turquoise Coast.
