Kalkan
Kalkan
is a small charming harbour town; small traditional whitewashed houses
on the hillside overlook the tiny bay. The winding narrow cobbled streets
are lined with boutiques, cafes, restaurants and old houses with shuttered
windows and tiny balconies which overlook the street below. Kalkan has
a very relaxed atmosphere and is the ultimate destination for a peaceful
holiday. As the sunsets there is a good selection of restaurants overlooking
the bay where you can enjoy a drink before dinner while taking in the
beautiful panoramic view The small harbour houses the local fishing
and tourist boats with the occasional visiting yacht, there is also
a very small sandy beach within a couple of minutes walk. Kalkan is
a great place for that relaxing holiday, but be sure to add it to your
list of places to visit in Turkey if staying elsewhere.
